This Week in Titanium Mobile: 20 June 2011

This is all the Titanium Mobile news I’ve gathered from the Twittersphere and Interwebs this week.

News

The big news was the launch of Titanium Studio and Titanium Mobile 1.7.  It got press from read write web and infoq as well as some smaller blogs and media:

With the release of Titanium Studio, Appcelerator (for the first time) enables features based on your subscription.  The ‘premium’ version of Studio (with debugging) is only available with an Indie subscription or above.  This has caused a bit of reaction in the community.

Tony Lukasavage was not happy – but check out Kevin Whinnery’s comment for Appcelerator’s reply.  Aaron Saunders also gives his thoughts over at his blog.

Appcelerator updated their sessions for the Codestrong conference. Looks like a wide variety of topics - something for everyone.

Appcelerator was also named as a OnMobile Top 100 Winner.

Scott Schwazhoff (Appcelerator’s VP of Marketing) gave an interview on ‘Where to start with your mobile strategy‘ on untether.tv.  You can signup to be alerted when the full version is posted.

For Android developers: Google has released an official ‘Available in the Android Market‘ graphic.  I’ve always used Robot Media’s version.

Apps

Codeboxed updated their Titanium API Browser to version 1.7.0.

The Official App of the American Physical Society for 42nd Annual Meeting of the APS Division of Atomic, Molecular and Optical Physics is available on iTunes and Android.

Brownie Recipe Maker from Fine Cooking available on iTunes.  Mmmmm.  Brownies…..
